Whickham were knocked out of the Durham Challenge Cup after a 4-2 defeat to Seaham Red Star in the Second Round.
David Robinson handed the visitors the lead midway through the first-half before a Richard Coulson brace put them in control at the break.
Just five minutes into the second-half, the Star added a fourth goal when Sean McRoberts scored a stunning goal, finding the top corner.
Jonny Burn pulled a goal back on 65 minutes, his second in as many games, after a stunning solo run and Max Cowburn added a second in the final 10 minutes of the game.
However, it was too little too late for the Lang Jacks, who now turn their attention to the match against league-leaders Stockton Town on Saturday afternoon.
