Whickham are pleased to announce the signing of forward Ben Harmison on loan from Morpeth Town.
As part of the deal, the Bet Victor Northern Premier side have signed striker Carl Finnigan on loan until the end of the season.
Harmison has played a key role for the Highwaymen this season, but is looking forward to starting with Whickham.
He said: “I’m looking forward to getting started. Whickham are a great club with good players and a top management team.
“Hopefully we can win as many games as possible to climb up the league, where we belong.”
Harmison started his playing career, following his cricketing days, with his hometown club, Ashington.
The striker went on to play for the likes of North Shields and South Shields before moving to Craik Park.
Whickham manager Matty Pattison expressed his delighted in bringing a top player to the club.
“I’m over the moon to bring him in,” Pattison said. “I know him well as a player, having played with him and I know he will bring a lot to the side.
“He will bring something a little bit different, but something we need. I’m looking forward to working with him and hopefully he will be a big part in pushing us up that table.”
Harmison will go straight into the squad to face league-leaders Stockton Town on Saturday afternoon.
