Whickham FC advanced comfortably into the next round of the FA Vase after goals from Conor Newton, Scott Robson (2) and Scott McCarthy in a match dominated by the visitors.
After dominating the majority of possession early on, Whickham finally broke through a resilient Willington defence five minutes before the break when Scott Robson helped on a powerful pass into the path of Conor Newton who lashed the ball home from inside the area.
It only took the visitors three minutes after half-time to double their lead when substitute Scott McCarthy slipped Scott Robson through on goal who calmly placed the ball past the incoming goalkeeper.
Scott Robson helped himself to a second goal on the hour mark with a superb strike after winning the ball back from a Willington defender before composing himself to fire his shot into the top right stanchion of the net.
Four minutes later Willington nearly pulled one back from a Lewis Martin free-kick which seemed to be heading into the top corner but Regan Ward managed to dive across his goal and tip the effort wide of the post.
The game was well and truly wrapped up by a Scott McCarthy header in the 69th minute after some slick passing by the Lang Jacks lead to Lee McAndrew floating a cross into the path of McCarthy who headed home from six-yards out.
Whickham will face Redcar AFC in the next round of the FA Vase on the 10th of October.
