Whickham FC 2021/22 fixture list

With an eight month gap between the last competitive fixture for the Lang Jacks, the awaited fixture list for the 2021/22 season has now been released.

We won’t have to wait long to play our first fixture of the season with an earlier than usual start, with a visit up the coast to face Whitley Bay on Saturday 31st July.

The Glebe will have fans back for the first time since the Lang Jacks were defeated by promoted Stockton Town back in November last year, with the hosts facing Billingham Town on Tuesday 3rd August (subject to cricket fixtures).

Mark Convery’s side will play their first match against a promoted side when they travel to Redcar on Saturday 14th August with a chance of redemption after last year’s 2-1 defeat in the FA Vase.

The black & whites first face West Allotment Celtic on Saturday 2nd October, with yet another chance of revenge with Celtic defeating Whickham on penalties after a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

The dates for the FA Cup and FA Vase games are yet to be scheduled in, with the draws for both competitions taking place on 9th July.

One of last season’s highlight games will appear on Saturday 4th December when Whickham face Consett A.F.C following a 1-0 win courtesy of a Zak Atkinson winner and solid defending from the Lang Jacks.

Guisborough Town will be welcoming Whickham to the King George V Ground for the final game of 2021 on Saturday 18th December.

A trip to Durham will wrap up the 2021/22 season as the Lang Jacks face Newton Aycliffe on the final day of the season, which will be played on Saturday 16th of April.
