After another impressive victory at the weekend for Tony Fawcett’s men, their attention is now firmly on the Durham Challenge Cup and Spennymoor Town. The Lang Jacks will be wanting to continue their fine form over recent weeks and carry on their cup run for a few more rounds.
Once again the defence was superb at the weekend, keeping yet another clean sheet for their first away win under Fawcett and MOTM Kieran Galbraith was full of praise for the gaffer and his backroom staff. “We’ve been superb at the back since Tony came in – we look so hard to break down and with the quality we posses at the top of the pitch, we’re only going to keep winning games and keep getting stronger”
“It’s a joy to be around the club at the minute – the changing room is absolutely bouncing! I don’t see why we can’t get that final promotion spot in the league table if we keep this up. Playing Spennymoor in the cup, Tony’s always going on about how nice it would be to win a cup this year, so hopefully we can keep that alive with a win on Tuesday”.
Once again the Lang Jacks should have a full squad for Fawcett to pick from for this tie. With some rumours that Spennymoor could potentially be rotating their squad, there should be optimism around the squad that they can pull off the victory and progress through to the next round of the cup.
