Whickham v Guisborough Town – Lang Jacks look to keep good results going

After winning twice way from home last week, Whickham return home to the Glebe where they host Guisborough Town on Tuesday evening.

Boss Tony Fawcett saw his side win against Heaton Stannington and Pickering Town that sees the Lang Jacks occupy second place in the league, trailing leaders Ashington AFC only on goal difference.

Jamie Dunn was Whickham’s match winner against Heaton Stannington, his penalty ensuring the Lang Jacks came away with the three points.

Tuesday’s visitors have also enjoyed a good start to the league campaign, as they currently sit 6th in the table with 2 wins and a draw from their opening three games.

The Lang Jack’s have kept up their impressive defensive record from last season, conceding only once in the opening 4 league fixtures. No doubt the gaffer will want more of the same from his defensive unit on Tuesday evening.

Get yourselves down to the Glebe on Tuesday and get behind the lads as they go in search of another home win!
