MATCH PREVIEW: Sunderland RCA return to The Glebe

Sunderland RCA return to the First Mortgage Glebe for the second time in 16 days following last month’s FA Cup tie.

The Lang Jacks are looking to put Saturday’s FA Cup heartbreak behind them after a 97th minute winner at Bamber Bridge ended the hope of a cup run.

The tie in August was a comfortable 4-0 win for Whickham with goals from Stephen Hall, Jamie Dunn, George Priest and Scott Robson.

Whickham sit in a healthy 6th position in the league whilst the visitors are 10th.

The team from Ryhope have won their last two league  games against Newton Aycliffe and Seaham Red Star, both of which were at home.

A stat, however pointless it may be, that could be on Whickham’s side is that RCA have only failed to score against teams they’ve played this season that begin with a ‘W’ – West Allotment Celtic, West Auckland Town, Whickham and Whitley Bay.

Mark Davison tops the season scoring charts with three so far this campaign and Kyle Fryatt has one after making his debut last time out against Newton Aycliffe.

Kick off is 19:30 at the First Mortgage Glebe.

Adult – £7

Concession – £4
