Whickham fought back to win their first league game at The Glebe in a month, as they beat Thornaby 3-1.
The visitors scored the only goal of the first half as Charlie Hindson found the net.
Tom Howard led the comeback with two second half goals and Nathan Greenwood wrapped up all three points swiftly after.
The win for The Lang Jacks sees them climb to 9th place in the table, just four points off Newton Aycliffe in 3rd.
After few chances for either team in the opening 25 minutes, the first of note was for Whickham after a short corner caught the visitors off guard so Scott Robson drove towards the penalty area and shot across goal, but it was cleared off the line.
Minutes later Thornaby took the lead after a swift counter attack where Craig Hutchinson set up Charlie Hindson to fire home.
Whickham almost responded straight after via Nathan Greenwood but his shot, which was heading for the top corner, was spectacularly saved by Quinaceo Hunt.
After halftime and on the hour mark, Whickham began to put their imprint on the game.
Tom Howard brought his side level after the ball was laid off for him on the edge of the area and he hit it low and hard into the corner, leaving Hunt flat-footed.
The side from Teesside had a half chance soon after as Jack Connor struck from 20 yards but Nathan Harker got down to parry it away.
Three minutes from time was when Tom Howard struck again as the ball fell to him following a corner and he struck high into the net to give Whickham the lead.
The game was wrapped up minutes later by Nathan Greenwood as he found space on the left and hit a shot which deflected off Hunt and crept inside the near post.
