This weekend we make the trip down to the south of Durham to take on West Auckland Town in the EBAC Northern League.
The hosts sit in a healthy 8th position in the league although they have lost their first two games of the calendar year.
West are very much a team that like to play at home with 26 of their 34 points coming at Darlington Road this season, and they’ve also scored 11 goals in their last 3 home games.
Amidst numerous postponements of games against Hebburn Town, Whickham have found their feet under new manager Lee Haldane in 2023.
A point at Sunderland RCA and three against Tow Law Town have got the Lang Jacks off to a good start this year.
When the two sides met back in August at The Glebe, Whickham were 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Scott Robson and Garon Garside.
Full back Tom Howard could make his 100th appearance for the club this weekend.
