After travelling to league leaders Newton Aycliffe last week, Whickham host second placed Bishop Auckland this weekend at The First Mortgage Glebe.
After struggling at the wrong end of the table last season, Bishop are enjoying a promotion push this time around however haven’t won in their last three league matches.
Two consecutive 2-0 leads at home, squandered to draw 2-2, with Seaham Red Star and then Guisborough Town have seen the visitors fall four points behind leaders Newton Aycliffe.
Craig Gott and Louis Johnson spearhead the attack with 23 league goals between them so far – no team has scored more in the league than Bishop with a remarkable 70 goals scored.
After defeat at Newton Aycliffe, The Lang Jacks’ trio of Scott Robson, Shay Richardson and Clayton Davis could all return to the squad.
Jamie Dunn will be unavailable after his red card in the latter stages of the 2-0 defeat and Kaleb Young is serving the last game of his suspension.
