Nathan Stephenson is a Lang Jack

We are delighted to announce the signing of Nathan Stephenson from Northallerton Town.

The attacking midfielder captained the North Yorkshire side and won last season’s Supporters’ Player of the Year award.

He played through the Middlesbrough Academy system until he was 16 before moving on to play for Newton Aycliffe, Crook Town, Whitley Bay and Northallerton Town.

Speaking after the move he said: “I’m really excited to be joining Whickam and have an ambition to push up the league and try and to get in the play-offs, and ultimately try and get promoted.

“I’m excited to get going and meet all the lads in pre-season.”

Manager Lee Haldane also welcomes his new signing: “I’m delighted to get Stivvy on board, he’s one we’ve watched and wanted for a while now.

“His numbers from midfield will be key for us moving forwards, he was the captain at his former club which will be a great fit for our changing room.”
