As we look forward to welcoming many fans to The First Mortgage Glebe on Sunday, we would like to ensure the day goes as smoothly as possible.
With many Whickham, Dunston and north east football fans expected, we have changed some of our usual matchday operations. We are expecting queues so please come early.
Gates –
Two gates will be in use which will take cash and card payment. The main gate (red arrow) will be open as usual but also the cricket gate (blue arrow) will be used. Those who have already purchased wristbands will be able to enter through either. A special fast-track lane is available on the main gate if you don’t wish to queue. Entry is £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3 for children. No season tickets are eligible for this fixture. Gates will open at 13:15.
Food and drink –
Our Corner Flag Cafe will open serving chips, burgers, hot dogs, pies and sausage rolls as well as hot and cold drinks and sweet treats. Alcoholic drinks will be served both inside in the bar and lounge, while we will also have a pop-up bar on the patio. Pitchside drinking is allowed with a plastic cup. Both cash and card are accepted.
Parking –
The main cricket car park (NE16 4PF) – limited spaces. Whickham shopping centre (NE16 4AB) – 3 minute walk to the ground. Street parking but we would like to ask you to be mindful of residents. Blocking driveways may result in a fine. Local police will be patrolling the area.
