Scott was another player to come to the club and link up with former manager Mark Convery. The forward signed for the Lang Jacks from Division One side North Shields, where he had spent just over six months during the 2019-20 season. McCarthy is a powerful centre-forward, who can also play out wide when called up and certainly knows where the back of the net is.
